Fresh Cajun Turduckens

The best cajun turducken ever made!

The best Cajun turducken ever made along with some of the best Cajun specialty foods in Louisiana. To make a turducken, our suppliers start with a 12 to 14 lb turkey. They debone it, flipping it inside out, season it with a Cajun seasoning, and then stuff it with a homemade cornbread dressing. It is then stuffed with a boneless chicken breast, a boneless duck breast, and more cornbread dressing throughout the rest of the turkey. Finally, seasoned pork sausage is inserted between the duck breast and turkey. The final product in sewn together and ready for the oven. This turducken (tur-duck-hen) is as much as a conversation piece as it is DELICIOUS! As they say in Louisiana, the flavor of the homemade seasoning is incredible - "bon appetite!"

For your enjoyment and curiosity, we have created a step-by-step photo guide of the turducken creation process. You can click on each of the images below to view a larger image.

We thoroughly wash the turkey inside and out before deboning.
Completely deboned turkey with one exception - the legs and wings of the turkey are still attached.
Seasoning the turkey - The seasoning is made up of some of the following: red pepper, black pepper (seasoned to taste, not hot and spicy), salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, meat tenderizer, and some secret ingredients to step up the flavor.
Stuff the turkey with a fully deboned duck breast, a fully deboned chicken breast, and a cornbread stuffing made with: ground pork, cornbread, flour, eggs, parsley, and a few secret ingredients.
Inject the turkey, the seasoning above in a liquid form with a chicken broth base.
Net the turducken, a tube that compresses the turducken into a net.
A freezer proof bag is now used for packaging.
A vacuum seal of the bag for storage in a freezer or refrigerator.
The finished product - their turducken is one of the best in the South. Their loyal customers agree, and we hope you will try our turducken. As they say in Louisiana, "bon appetite" from Louisiana Gifts!
